2. Processing of personal data
According to Art. 4 No. 1 GDPR, personal data is any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. This includes in particular the first and last name, address, telephone number, e-mail address and gender.
We collect, process and use your personal data (including IP addresses) only if you consent to the data collection, processing and use or if there is another legal basis in accordance with the GDPR.
The data concerned in detail, processing purposes, legal bases, recipients and transfers to third parties are listed below.
a) Log file
When you visit our websites, we log your visit temporarily in a log file. The following data is processed:
Name and URL of the website accessed, date and time of access, the amount of data transferred, the browser type and version, the operating system you are using, the referrer URL (the website previously visited), your IP address and the requesting provider. This is necessary to ensure the security of the website.
We process the data accordingly on the basis of our legitimate interests in accordance with Art. 6 art.1 f GDPR. The log file will be deleted after seven days, unless it is needed to clarify or prove specific violations of the law that have become known within the retention period.
b) Hosting
All data to be processed in connection with the operation of this website is stored as part of the hosting to log the functionality. We process the data accordingly on the basis of our legitimate interests in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 f) GDPR. To provide our online presence, we use services from web hosting providers to whom we transmit the above data.
c) Subscribing for the newsletter
In order to provide you with up-to-date information on our company and our services by email, you can register to receive our newsletter. By registering for the newsletter, you agree that we process the data entered by you (e-mail address and other voluntary information) according to par. 6 art. 1 (a) GDPR.
You can unsubscribe at any time, for example via a link at the end of each newsletter. Alternatively, you can send your unsubscribe request at any time to unsubscribe@setex-germany.com by email.
d) Using the contact form
If you contact us with questions of any kind via our website contact form, you voluntarily consent that we contact you back. For this purpose, we need a valid email address from you. The email address will be used to assign the request and then reply to it. Provision of further data is optional.
This data, collected for the purpose of enabling contact with us, is voluntarily provided and processed in accordance with par. 6 art. 1 p. 1 cit. GDPR.
The information you submit will be stored for the purpose of processing your request and for possible follow-up questions. After your request has been completed, your personal data will be automatically erased.
e) Use of our member area MySETEX
We provide a personal, direct access to detailed information and software downloads. In addition, we offer the possibility to connect production machines via the My SETEX web portal for online analysis. Access to this personal area and services of our website is controlled via a personal account.
When you subscribe to register for a personal account you will receive an email in which you will be asked to confirm your account registration (double opt-in process). Your registration is only concluded after you confirm the link in our verification email and set a logon password. In this case, the data entered such as your email, name, address and phone number are collected by SETEX.
Consequently, your registration to the MySETEX account will not become active if you do not click on the link and your data will be automatically deleted after 30 days.
By registering on the website of SETEX, the IP address – assigned by the Internet service provider (ISP) and used by the data subject – date and time of the registration are also stored. The storage of this data takes place against the background that this is the only way to prevent the misuse of our services, and, if necessary, to make it possible to investigate committed offenses. Insofar, the storage of this data is necessary to secure SETEX. This data is not passed on to third parties unless there is a statutory obligation to pass on the data, or if the transfer serves the aim of criminal prosecution.
To cancel an account including the data collected with this registration, sending an E-Mail at privacy(at)setex-germany.com is sufficient.
User agreement of MYSETEX services
With the registration and use of the MySETEX services you agree to comply with the restrictions laid down in this Regulation.
In particular, you are obliged to observe confidentiality for all documents, software and information gathered directly, indirectly or in any other way from the download center on our website, which are not public knowledge and which refer to the business practice of SETEX Schermuly textile computer GmbH.
Such information shall not to be passed on, used or used to third parties without the prior written consent of SETEX Schermuly textile computer GmbH. You also undertake to take all appropriate precautions to ensure confidentiality. This also applies after the expiry of the registration and usage rights to the download center of SETEX Schermuly textile computer GmbH.

In the event of violations of this confidentiality agreement, you are fully liable to SETEX Schermuly textile computer GmbH for all damage caused by the violation of these contractual obligations. This agreement is subject to German law. The place of jurisdiction is Limburg an der Lahn.
3. Disclosure of Data
SETEX will not use and communicate your personal data to third parties unless for the purposes provided under this section.
We shall forward your personal data to third parties only in case of:
- If the data subject has given his or her explicit consent to the processing in accordance with par.6 art.1 p.1 cit. GDPR.
- The processing of sensitive data is necessary for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims (see par.6 art.1 p.1 cit. GDPR) and there is no reason to believe that there is an overriding and legitimate public or private interest in preventing the disclosure of data to third parties.
- In the event, that for the transfer of personal data (according par.6 art.1 p.1 cit. GDPR) is a legal or constructive obligation.
- Where permitted by law in accordance with par.6 art.1 p.1 cit. GDPR and where it is necessary for the settlement of the contract.
4. Data storage duration
As a matter of principle, we store your data for as long as is necessary for the provision of our online offer and the associated services as well as the legal obligations and for the defense against liability claims, or we have a legitimate interest in the continued storage.
We will only store personal data that you have provided to us for the purpose of receiving our newsletter, information and advertising material or for invitations to our events until you revoke your consent for this use of your data.
If the purpose of storage no longer applies or a legally prescribed storage period expires, the personal data is deleted.
5. Integration of 3rd party content
We use external dynamic content to optimize the presentation and services of our website. A connection to the servers of the respective third-party provider is only established when you click on the corresponding buttons. Google Analytics uses cookies, meaning text files that are stored on your computer and are used to analyze your use of the website, as described in the section on cookies (section 7).

On this website, we are using social network plug-ins of Facebook, LinkedIn, Xing and Youtube on the bases of par.6 art.1 p.1 cit. GDPR to extend awareness of the SETEX brand. The promotional purpose has a legitimate interest within the meaning of the GDPR regulation. The responsible handling of data and compliance lies exclusively with the providers.
a) Facebook
To make the information more personalized, our website contains Facebook plug-ins. These programs are exclusively operated by Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304 USA (Facebook). The plug-ins are clearly visible on our website through the use of the Facebook logo. Integration of videos
SETEX uses videos on its websites as a way to transport content in an understandable way. This represents a legitimate interest in accordance with Article 6 para. 1 f GDPR. The YouTube platform is used to integrate videos. Due to the integration of the videos, YouTube's servers are accessed for technical reasons.
We are using YouTube for an appealing presentation of the SETEX brand and our products. The promotional purpose has a legitimate interest within par.6 art.1 p.1 cit. GDPR. Please refer to YouTube’s privacy policy (https://www.google.com/intl/en/policies/privacy) for more information on scope of data collection and data analysis undertaken by YouTube.
c) LinkedIn
We have integrated components of the LinkedIn Corporation on this website. The operating company of LinkedIn is LinkedIn Corporation, 2029 Stierlin Court Mountain View, CA 94043, UNITED STATES. For privacy matters outside of the UNITED STATES LinkedIn Ireland, Privacy Policy Issues, Wilton Plaza, Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland, is responsible.
With each call-up to one of the individual pages of this Internet site, on which a LinkedIn component (LinkedIn plug-in) is integrated, your browser will establish a connection to a server operated by LinkedIn and transmit which of our websites have been visited with your IP.

7. Cookie Policy
