1993 - Foundation of SETEX Schermuly textile computer GmbH by Christoph and Oliver Schermuly.
1994 - Development of the first PC-based control system for the automation of textile finishing machines. OEM machine manufacturers start to use the SECOM 737 control concept with SETEX PLC and I/O technology.
1995 - Release of the first OrgaTEX version as a higher-level software solution for centralized production management.
1998 - First use of the SECOM 737XL, the technically fundamentally revised successor to the SECOM 737. Particularly popular model with more than 10,000 units sold.
2005 - Foundation of the first Chinese subsidiary. Today there are three subsidiaries and China has become one of SETEX's strongest countries in terms of sales.
2006 - Development of the CamCount online devices for non-contact measurement with industrial camera technology.
2007 - Release of the fifth version of OrgaTEX. From now on, machine builders can integrate automatic supply and dosing systems directly and autonomously into the production process. New interfaces enable far-reaching integration from the laboratory to the ERP system.
2008 – Release of the first version of MS Windows-embedded SECOM 777CE controller, the all-rounder with keyboard and touch screen operation.
2010 - Strategic partnership between Datacolor and SETEX. This cooperation enables closer integration and communication between laboratory and production to optimize the workflow from laboratory to production and simplify the transfer of color recipes.
2012 - Introduction of the OrgaTEX Plant Navigator modules for greater environmental protection and resource efficiency. New self-optimization tool for regulating hot water, gas, steam pressure and electricity.
2017 - Release of the fully revamped and innovative MES software platform OrgaTEX X1 for the digital workflow in line with Industry 4.0.
2019 - Launch of the new SETEX E390 and C390 controllers with enhanced communication and intuitive operation of textile machines and continuous systems in the field of Industry 4.0, including more efficient use of resources.
2020 - Launch of OrgaTEX X2 and SmartRecipe, the new technology for textile finishing with formula-based recipe optimization and intelligent production adaption
2023 - SETEX joins forces with Elvaston, strengthens future viability and growth with majority shareholding, and focuses on expanded technology integration in the textile sector.
2024 - SETEX and Datatex formed the Textile Solutions Group (TSG), combining their expertise to deliver integrated ERP and MES solutions. This partnership enhances global reach, offering innovative and sustainable tools that drive efficiency and growth for textile manufacturers.
