WTM – Sensors for measurement of fabric temperature

The fabric temperature sensors WTM V10, V20 and V30 have been developed for fabric temperature measurements of moving textile fabrics in and around stenter and dryers. They are contactless working temperature measurement units that detect precisely and with a high degree of repetitive accuracy the fabric temperature of thermo fixation and drying processes.


The sensors WTM V10 and V20 can be used in higher ambient temperatures (WTM V10 up to 180 °C/356 °F, WTM V20 up to 250 °C/482 °F) and can be mounted inside of a dryer/stenter. The measurement head is located inside a rugged metal case and is connected to the measurement electronics by a steel flex cable. The measurement opening of the temperature probe is covered by a silicon window to protect the sensor from dust, vapors and other environmental influences. It can easily be cleaned if soiled or fogged.

The sensor WTM V30 can be used in ambient temperatures up to 70 °C/158 °F and therefore is suitable to be fitted outside of a stenter/dryer. Because of its narrow measurement cone it can be positioned at a larger distance to the fabric and if mounted on the ceiling of a stenter, maintenance and service work on these sensors can even be performed during operation. The sophisticated airflow prevents contamination and condensation. Because of the lower ambient temperature the sensor reacts faster and comes with an integrated electronic analyzing circuit. The measuring range of all sensors is 0 to 250 °C (32 to 482 °F).
