The system to control the fabric width consists of a SECOM controller, a modular PLC from the Compact range of PLC’s as well as sensors to measure the fabric width. This system can be used on all new stenter frames as well as to retrofit existing ones.
By optimizing the control of the width the result of the shrinking process can be improved and a substantial time/cost saving during width changes can be achieved.
